The promenade was held at 5:00 pm in the auditorium on Saturday May 10th, for the Class of 2009. The prom 2008 theme was “Forever Starts Tonight”, the colors were red and ivory and the prom song was “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias.

Scoresup.com would like to commemorate Fonda-Fultonville senior Christine Rulison for being recognized as the 2007-2008 Outstanding Business Education Student. The honor was not only awarded for Ms. Rulison’s many academic achievements but for her impressive citizenship and positive attitude.
On Thursday, May 8th, 2008 an awards dinner sponsored by the Business and Marketing Educator’s association was held to honor Christine and many other outstanding students from area schools. Christine had the support of her loving family and the FFCS business education faculty.

FBLA walkers! |


On Sunday May 4th, members of FBLA participated in the March of Dimes Walk at Fulton-Montgomery Community College to help raise awareness about premature babies.
According to marchforbabies.org, about 120,000 infants are born premature or with birth defects every year!
The total amount raised for the walk was: 291.80 dollars! $147.80 came from the sale of beanie bears, $94.00 from dress down day stickers, and $50.00 from outside donations. FBLA thanks everyone who either participated in the walk or donated.

Late Saturday night, a fire had destroyed a building that included a Chinese restaurant and apartments up above. There were nine people, that were there and two pets. All Nine people had made it out safely, but the cat and the dog had died in the fire. Investigators are trying to figure out what had caused the fire to begin with. Nine people are now homeless, as the building’s rubble lies on the sidewalk. The Red Cross is helping out, and will help them out with housing, until the families can get back on their feet. Students against Destructive Decisions helped out at the after prom party May 10, 2008. The SADD group set up a small table from 1-3 a.m. with activities for the students to participate in. The group sat up an obstacle course with cones and the students had to do the obstacle course with beer goggles on and not touch the walls while riding on scooters to show the affects of how hard it is to drive after drinking. Some students were amazed at how hard it was for them to see and even walk straight when putting the goggles on. SADD …
