The original eCommEd curriculum package has been approved as both a full-year or half-year for-credit course in a high school's business education program, by the NYS Department of Education. Many schools have added it as a new course to their existing programs while others have used it to replace marketing, entrepreneurship, or computer applications courses that have grown outdated and suffered enrollment decline. Students in this course operate their own Internet-based publishing company, providing information about school and student events, activities, and achievements.
This package includes a series of forty lesson plans. Each lesson requires approximately 80 minutes of interactive instruction. The lesson plans are designed to have the class spend approximately forty minutes in the traditional lecture and discussion mode while spending the other half of their time performing the activities necessary to operate their real-world e-commerce business.
The eCommEd e-Lection Connection Curriculum package provides everything high school teachers need to organize and conduct a 2004 Presidential election inside your school. Your students will use these resources to learn the fundamental concepts of political campaigning in the United States and have the opportunity to apply them to a live campaign.
The eCommEd Lite curriculum is designed as a six to ten week course or unit and is also suitable for distance learning application. This package includes a series of six lesson plans. Students in this curriculum learn success proven e-commerce concepts and get to apply those concepts by forming in-class companies that actually organize and promote a community-based fundraising event using the Internet.
The eCommEd e-Auction is designed as a three to six week lesson or unit and is also suitable for distance learning application. This package includes a lesson plan, a model online auction business plan, and a step-by-step checklist for creating and operating an on-line auction.
