Birch Tree, NY -- In a battle for first the Birch Tree boys varsity basketball team lost a close game to St. John Fishermen high school, 67-65 this evening at Birch Tree. The Fishermen’s Sean O'Brien made a running jumper from 10 feet out with 4.6 seconds to play to give St. John the win. The loss drops Birch Tree into second place in the conference.

The Leafs Record Exciting Win Over Burgerville

Birch Tree, NY- The men's basketball team improved to 9-2 in the conference with an exciting win over the Pioneers of Bugerville tonight, 72-70.
The score went back and forth for the opening 4:32 before Bugerville opened up an eight-point lead at the 14:27 mark. The Pioneers were plagued by turnovers in the first half, giving the Leafs' James MeGee, Dave Thomas, and Justin Granell the opportunity to narrow the deficit to four. The Leafs Defeat Hartwick, 77-64

Birch Tree, NY - The Birch Tree men's basketball team improved to 8-2 with a win over the Hawks of Hartwick tonight.
After Hartwick scored the initial basket of the contest, the Leafs scored on their next two trips down the court and never trailed in the rest of the game. The first half was highlighted by an 11-2 Leafs run which allowed Birch Tree to lead 30-13 at the nine-minute mark. That was their largest lead of the half.
