News broke earlier this week that the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which is the top breast cancer foundation in the country, is stopping its support for Planned Parenthood affiliates. It seems the idea behind this action is because Planned Parenthood offers abortions to the patients and the anti-abortion groups were pressuring the foundation to stop funding Planned Parenthood.

This past Sunday the Pro Bowl was played in Hawaii. The Pro Bowl is the NFL All-Star game. Every player gets paid $20,000 to play in this game, the winning team gets paid $20,000 more so $40,000 total. This year, there seemed to be many complaints about how the game was played such as the lack of defense. The defensive line didn’t pass rush and no one wanted to tackle; it was a very high scoring game. Personally I don’t blame the players for not wanting to go hard and play full speed, it’s a game played for fun and and one that honors those who are worthy of recognition, but did not make it to the Super Bowl.
